خلاصه داستان : در سال ۱۷۱۵ میلادی در جزیره New Providence باهاما امپراطوری دزد دریایی جاه طلب و خشنی به نام Edward Teach (با بازی John Malkovich ) معروف به ریش سیاه که بر مجموعه ای از دزدان , قانون شکنان و ملوانان شرور حکمرانی میکند در حال شکل گیری است که این منطقه را به خطرناکترین مکان برای رفت و آمد کشتی های تجاری تبدیل کرده اند.بنابراین برای از بین بردن این تهدید فزاینده و ایجاد امنیت Tom Lowe (با بازی Richard Coyle )که آدمکش حرفه ای است از سوی بریتانیا ماموریت میابد تا به درون این جامعه ترسناک نفوذ کرده تا با قتل Edward این امپراطوری نوظهور دزدان دریایی را نابود کند اما TOM به زودی در میابد که انجام این ماموریت چندان هم ساده نیست چرا که با نزدیک شدن به Edward او را شخصی بسیار زیرک و سیاستمدار میابد که تواناییها و قدرتش در مدیریت این جامعه خطرناک او را تحت تاثیر قرارداده و این امر کشتنش را برایش سخت میکند و علاوه بر این TOM تنها دشمن Edward در این جامعه نیست و او دشمنان دیگری هم دارد.

Blackbeard, reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Part shantytown, part marauder's paradise, this is a place like no other on earth - and a mounting threat to international commerce. To gain control of this fearsome society, Tom Lowe, a highly skilled undercover assassin, is sent to the buccaneers' haven to take down the brilliant and charismatic Blackbeard. But the closer Lowe gets, the more he finds that his quest is not so simple. Lowe can't help but admire the political ideals of Blackbeard, whose thirst for knowledge knows no bounds - and no law. But Lowe is not the only danger to Blackbeard's rule. He is a man with many villainous rivals and one great weakness - a passionately driven woman whom he cannot deny.
